American Valve was founded in 1901 and manufactures dependable valves for plumbing, heating and industrial flow controls. American Valve set out to solve the problem of leaky gate valves. With their class IV shut-off and discs and seat rings that wear out quickly, gate valves leak by design. The American Valve 4000 series was was created to replace any traditional gate valve or eccentric plug valve. These specially designed valves maximize flow rate and protect seats in both full open and closed positions. 

Featuring a blow-out stem and corrosion-resistant PFA-fused solid iron ball, the American 4000 ball valves provide the convenience of a quarter-turn handle while still providing the same end-to-end dimension of other valves. The American Valve 4000 series is made with three body material options: 4000 Series in Cast Iron, 4000D Series in Ductile Iron, and the 4001 Series in Stainless Steel.
