The FTS62 is a stainless steel bodied Ball Float Steam Trap having stainless steel working internals and automatic air venting facility.
The Spirax FTS62 Steam Trap must be installed with the direction of flow as indicated on the body (left to right, or right to left), and with the float arm in a horizontal plane so that it rises and falls vertically. It is also recommended to install a strainer upstream of the trap. The system must undergo regular maintenance to ensure the steam quality is to industry standard. Spirax Sarco FTS62 Steam Traps can be serviced without disrupting piping connections as long as it is fully isolated from both the supply and return lines. Any worn or damaged components should be replaced.
