Crane L171½XU Cast Carbon Steel Globe Valves

CRANE L171½XU series valves are the Low Emissions version of the Figure L171½XU Globe Valves. They are efficient stop valves with flow in either direction and they are highly efficient in services that require frequent operation and throttling when pressure drop is at, but no more than, 20 percent of inlet pressure.

These gate valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, Outside Screw and Yoke, bolted bonnet, and a handwheel actuator. Similarly to Crane’s L171XU valves that have flanged end connections, these valves come 2” to 16” in size and in Class 600, but L171½XU valves have butt-welded end connections. They are both rated for use up to 1480 psi at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

Crane L171½XU Globe Valves are constructed with an upgraded Type 410 Stainless Steel and Cobalt base alloy trim (“XU” spec) to elevate valve performance and service life. This trim eliminates leak paths by using a seal-welded seat ring. The durability and reliability of these globe valves allows them to be perfectly suited for the demanding environments of power production, oil and gas, refining, district heating, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, petro, chemical, marine, wastewater, mining and OEM applications.
