Crane L171XU Cast Carbon Steel Globe Valves

CRANE L171XU series valves are the Low Emissions version of the Figure L171XU Globe Valves. They are efficient stop valves with flow in either direction and they are highly efficient in services that require frequent operation and throttling when pressure drop is at, but no more than, 20 percent of inlet pressure.

These gate valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, Outside Screw and Yoke, bolted bonnet, and a handwheel actuator. These valves are built very similarly to Crane’s L171½XU valves that have butt-welded end connections, except L171XU valves use flanged end connections. They are both rated for use up to 285 psi rating at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

Crane L171XU Globe Valves are made with an enhanced Type 410 Stainless Steel and Cobalt base alloy trim (“XU” spec) to elevate valve performance and longevity. The trim also includes a seal-welded seat ring that eliminates leak paths. The durability and reliability of these globe valves make them the ultimate dependable service for the demanding environments of power production, oil and gas, refining, district heating, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, petro, chemical, marine, wastewater, mining and OEM applications.
