Headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, Viega LLC is the expert leader in manufacturing and distributing plumbing, heating and pipe-joining systems for industrial, commercial, residential and marine sectors throughout North America. Viega’s story began in Germany in 1899 with Franz-Anselm Viegener, who created an innovative new design for a brass beer tap. Over the last 125 years, Viega has grown to become a US-manufactured pipe pressing authority with six international locations and a global distribution reach.

Quality and constant innovation are at the center of Viega’s production. Viega is the first manufacturer to engineer press fittings in sizes up to 4" and the only manufacturer to have press fittings and valves pass the highest seismic testing in the U.S. With more than 2,500 standard and non-standard applications, Viega systems allow you to connect pipe in mere seconds using just one tool without the need for manual tightening or a total system draining or shutdown. Viega Press Fit systems’ popularity and frequent use are no coincidence as they are the proven-out performers compared to systems that use traditional joining methods. They require less labor, equipment, and time to install, and they save 50-90% on installation costs compared to welding, threading, and other joining methods.

Viega Press Fittings and most Viega Valves are the only ones on the market with the ability to identify unpressed connections as soon as they happen using Smart Connect® technology, reducing future cleanup costs. Viega Valves are designed to withstand tough job-site conditions, and they can be adjusted to suit your exact project needs based on application and setting. All Viega Fittings come with either an EPDM, HNBR, or FKM sealing element that is factory-installed, field-ready, and permanent once pressed, allowing the system to perform with a large variety of pressures, temperatures and applications. Check out our Viega MegaPress Green vs Yellow Dot blog for an informative guide on how to identify which color dots on Viega’s products indicate which sealing elements.

The Viega press fittings and valves that we stock are designed based on two Viega systems; MegaPress and ProPress. MegaPress products are offered in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel and ProPress products are offered in Copper, Bronze, or Stainless Steel. With a safe, flameless design that can often support underground operations, both the ProPress and MegaPress systems are able to make secure, leak-free, and reliable connections and they come with hundreds of different configurations as well as various end styles, pressure ratings, temperature ratings, sizes, and more features. Both systems contain specialized subsystems with different body materials and/or approved applications. These include: MegaPress 304 FKM, MegaPress FKM, MegaPress 316, MegaPressG, MegaPress XL, ProPress XL, and ProPress XL-C.

Viega Products deliver unbeatable quality and durability to plumbing, piping, flushing, heating and other projects in more applications than any other system. Applications depend on the type of Viega system being used, but generally any operation using water, oil, fuel, or gas could benefit from their products.

Visit our Viega ProPress & MegaPress Selection Guide page for access to an array of product selection guides for each system and their various body materials.
