Crane L47½XUF Cast Carbon Steel Gate Valves

CRANE L47½XUF series valves are the Low Emissions version of the Figure 47½XUF Gate Valves. They are efficient stop valves with flow in either direction. 

These gate valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, Outside Screw and Yoke, bolted bonnet, handwheel actuator, and straight-through ports that assure minimal turbulence, erosion, and flow resistance. Similarly to Crane’s L47LUF-N, L47UF, and L47XUF valves that use flanged ends, they are available between 2” to 24” in size and are Class 150, but L47½XUF valves have butt-welded ends. They are both rated for use up to 285 psi at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

Crane L47½XUF Gate Valves are designed with advantageous features that enhance valve performance and service life. The first is an upgraded Type 410 Stainless Steel and Cobalt base alloy trim ("XU" spec) that can eliminate leak paths using seal-welded seats. The second is the flexible wedge disc ("F" spec) which is specifically built to compensate for body deformation that is caused by stress in the piping system. These durable and reliable features make L47½XUF valves the ultimate dependable service for the demanding environments of steam, oil, oil vapor, gas, and high-pressure applications.
