Crane L33½XUF Cast Carbon Steel Gate Valves

CRANE L33½XUF series valves are the Low Emissions version of the Figure 33½XUF Gate Valves. They are efficient stop valves with flow in either direction and they are commonly used where a minimum pressure drop is important. 

These gate valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, Outside Screw and Yoke, bolted bonnet, handwheel actuator, and straight-through ports that assure minimal turbulence, erosion, and flow resistance. Similarly to Crane’s L33XUF series that use flanged ends, L33½XUF valves are available between 2” to 24” in size and are Class 300, but they use butt-welded ends. They are both rated for use up to 740 psi at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

There are two important benefits of Crane L33½XUF Gate Valves: First is the seat ring, which is seal-welded to eliminate leak paths. Second is the flexible wedge disc (“F” spec) which compensates for body deformation due to stress on the pipes. Their upgraded Type 410 Stainless Steel and Cobalt base alloy trim (“XU” spec) provides extended service life and improved performance to the demanding environments of steam, oil, oil vapor, gas, and high-pressure environments.
