Crane 147U Cast Carbon Steel Swing Check Valves

CRANE 147U series valves are efficient swing check valves that allow flow in one direction and prevent the reversal of flow through pipelines. They can be installed in horizontal or vertical, upward flow, piping and they are specifically suited for low velocity service.

These swing check valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, bolted cap, and hard facing Cobalt alloy seating surfaces. Similarly to Crane’s 147½XU valves that use butt-welded ends, these valves come in a 2” to 24” size and in Class 150, however, 147U valves use flanged ends. They are rated up to 285 psi at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

Crane 147U Swing Check Valves are constructed with a weld-deposited Cobalt base alloy trim ("U" spec) to enhance valve performance and service life. This upgraded trim can eliminate leak paths through its use of seal-welded seat rings. The durability and reliability of these swing check valves allows them to be perfectly suited for the demanding environments of power production, oil and gas, refining, district heating, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, petro chemical, marine, wastewater, mining and OEM applications.
