Crane 147½XU Cast Carbon Steel Swing Check Valves

CRANE 147½XU series valves are efficient swing check valves that allow flow in one direction and prevent the reversal of flow through pipelines. Most Crane swing check valves can be installed in horizontal or vertical, upward flow, piping and they are specifically suited for low velocity service.

These swing check valves feature a Cast Carbon Steel body, bolted cap, and stellite seat facing. Similarly to Crane’s 147XU, 147LU-N, and 147U valves that have flanged ends, these valves come in a 2” to 24” size and in Class 150, but 147½XU valves have butt-welded ends. They are rated up to 285 psi at -20 deg F to 100 deg F.

Crane 147½XU Swing Check Valves are made with an upgraded Type 410 Stainless Steel and Cobalt base alloy trim (“XU” spec) to enhance valve performance and service life. This trim comes with seal-welded seat rings as standard because they can eliminate leak paths. The durability and reliability of these swing check valves allows them to be perfectly suited for the demanding environments of power production, oil and gas, refining, district heating, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage, petro chemical, marine, wastewater, mining and OEM applications.
